The Association: The Community at the House of Opportunities

House of Opportunities would not be able to reach so many people or open its doors to so many activities without the blessing of our wonderful God and without the intercession and support of many faithful and generous people.

To make daily life function, we must help each other with numerous practical tasks. We gratefully welcome voluntary help from outside for everything from vacuuming to teaching.
As a new initiative, we have formed a voluntary association aimed at creating a framework for the voluntary social, Christian, missional, and diaconal non-profit activities at House of Opportunities.
This includes activities and missional work based in the "In the Shelter of the Wing" collective, the Discipleship School, as well as social and diaconal activities at House of Opportunities. These initiatives aim to improve conditions for socially vulnerable, lonely, or otherwise challenged residents in Glamsbjerg, as well as providing outreach social work for the town's youth.

Membership costs 200 DKK per year.

By joining the association, your annual membership fee provides 200 DKK of support toward this work.
Your contribution supports initiatives such as:
Social events for the lonely and vulnerable, such as Café Næstekærlighed (Cafe Compassion)
Operations of the Discipleship School, including meals, missional work, and utility costs.
Emergency Housing. When people stay here due to an acute need, they often stay for free with room and board. Frequently, they arrive needing basic hygiene products etc., which incurs costs for food and utilities.
Other charity work: Distribution of clothing, meeting other needs such as evening meals, showers, transportation, or the establishment of a community fruit garden.
Everyone here works for free—whether as the caretaking couple, in teaching, counseling, or hosting various activities and events. Therefore, your financial support goes a long way.
