New Life in Christ

People are healed in the Christian Comunity

By the grace of God, we are allowed to see people rise again. Some come here just to live among other Christians and share their daily lives in fellowship, but more and more arrive with deep scars on their souls, with frayed lives, illness, and other burdens that need to be dealt with.

We see Jesus intervene in people’s lives and create transformation. We see people who feel worthless and abandoned by the world break free from their chains and grow into who they were created to be.

The Commune In the Potters Hand

To meet the need for the restoration of broken people into disciples of Jesus, we are expanding House of Opportunities with an additional house to accommodate the commune 'In the Potter’s Hand'.

Up to five residents will live here, including spiritually mature Christians with a heart and passion for uplifting others, and 1–2 individuals with a specific need to find their footing in life. This may include Christians facing mental illness, addiction issues, life crises, or other challenges. No referral is required; however, we cannot accept individuals with active substance abuse, and the use of intoxicants is strictly prohibited.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 'Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.' So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. (Jeremiah 18:1-4, NIV)

Daily life in 'In the Potter’s Hand' follows the general guidelines of House of Opportunities and involves working for the Kingdom of God for everyone who is not at work or school during the afternoon.
In 'In the Potter’s Hand,' working for the Kingdom of God means taking care of cooking, the house, and the garden—including cultivating a vegetable garden for the benefit of the entire community at House of Opportunities
